Mel and I had a wonderful time photographing this gorgeous, modern church wedding in Roanoke, Virginia this June! Kara Faber (now Murphy!) looked stunning in her bridal gown by Ashley Grace Bridal. Her bridesmaids gathered around her before the wedding, holding back tears - she looked absolutely stunning! Jonathan and his groomsmen sported their shades and favorite super-hero shirts under their tuxes: they were a blast to photograph!
The couple's first look couldn't have been sweeter and the ceremony was breathtaking in the chapel, surrounded by stained glass & candlelight. Afterward, the reception kicked off with the shoe game, cake cutting, and mingling with friends and family.
It was an evening never to forget!
I couldn't be happier for these two - I knew Kara from college, and as soon as she introduced me to Jonathan, I had to agree - he was for sure the guy for her! Jonathan is a marine in the USMC, and Kara has been a part of the World Race, traveling the world and ministering to people in many countries. Both have a big heart for people, and have given so much to the aid of others! Although caring for others is awesome enough, the couple also has just about the best board-game collection in history, which makes them just that much cooler ;)
Thank you, Jonathan and Kara, for everything you have done for your country, and people around the world through your careers and life choices and congratulations on tying the knot! You are truly a dynamic duo with hearts of gold~*
