Wow, where do I begin? Holly & Jude are one of the most adventurous and unique couples we have ever had the pleasure of working with. The two of them love spending their time in the mountains, hiking and camping along the Appalachian trails and exploring the great outdoors to their hearts' content. Their spirit for adventure really shone on their wedding day, and we had a blast documenting all of the fun!
The wedding was filled with family sentiment, and not an eye stayed dry throughout the event. We started the day at The King's Victorian Inn, were Holly & her brothers spent much of their childhood, visiting their grandparents. When Holly arrived for a first look with the family, everyone was blown away. Holly kicked the sentiment up a notch by wearing her mother's wedding dress, and flowers in her hair that she had worn as a child on treasured daddy-daughter dates! Her dad's reaction was perfection - he was completely surprised to see Holly in her mother's dress!
Holly made things easy by knowing exactly what she wanted photographed, and at the same time being totally easy going and carefree. She ran barefooted through the fields of her childhood home away from home, jumped up on the old tree-swing, laughed and played with her brothers, and twirled like a ballerina throughout the wedding day.
Jude started the day at the Homestead Preserve's Old Dairy with his best friends and groomsmen. Mel met up with the guys and they all had a blast getting fun candids that really represented their friendship.
After the fun, it was almost time for the ceremony - Jude couldn't wait to see his bride!
The ceremony was filled with happy tears and laughter and petals sprinkled along the aisle, courtesy of Macy the flower goddess (oh yes, its a thing!).
Together, Holly & Jude made the sweetest, silliest, and most romantic duo, as they laughed together and cried during the toasts and slideshow presented by their friends and families.
It was a wedding we will not soon forget, and we are excited to finally have the opportunity to share it with you.
