Billie & Kerry Martin's Wedding Floyd Eco Village

After Billie & Kerry's engagement session last year, I could not WAIT for their big day to get here. I knew that it was going to be magical - and it was all that and more!

Billie & Kerry have been together since high-school, and their love for one another has grown deeply through the years. They are literally the best of friends, and the sweetest couple. The way they look at one another is enough to turn anyone into a hopeless romantic! Mel and I have loved every minute of getting to know them, and were honored to photograph their special day.

Their wedding was held at the Floyd Eco Village in Floyd, Virginia. The large property is flourishing with flora and fauna, and includes a lovely pond, trails and wooded areas, mountain views, open fields, and indoor facilities: perfect for a dream wedding. The reception space was decorated to perfection with unique pieces that the couple collected, and the ceremony was held at the top of rolling hills, with a gorgeous view of the Blue Ridge Mountains.

Before the wedding began, thick rain clouds rolled in and everyone held their breath... Sure enough, it started to rain just before the ceremony. Then, like something out of a fairytale, as soon as the bride arrived to walk down the aisle, the sky cleared up and the sun came streaming through the clouds! Billie blew everyone away as she walked down the aisle, and twirled about the dance floor during the reception in her bridal gown. Kerry looked handsome wearing a sleek, silver suit. Both, of course, rocked the evening in their favorite cowboy/cowgirl boots!

For the reception, a highlight for the guests was the perfect summer treat: Homestead Creamery ice-cream! The night ended with a bang as the guests waved sparkers and shot off confetti canons, then commemorated the wedding date for the grand finale.

Mel and I enjoyed every detail of this wedding, and can't wait for you to get a sneak peek at all the fun!
